With the release of G7’s multi-gas pump cartridge, a new device mode is being introduced to accompany it. This mode is unique in that a pump cartridge is always required to use this mode, and it runs the pump continuously – such as for use in a hole-watch situation. Unlike the other modes, you will never be timed out and must exit it manually.
Pump run mode is enabled through G7’s configuration profile on Blackline Live.
Ensure the devices you want to have access to this mode are included in the devices card of the configuration profile. If you need to change the devices in the configuration profile, select edit in the top right corner and select or unselect devices by clicking them.
There are two ways to change G7’s mode: through G7’s main menu, and through the secondary menu.
Ensure you have a multi-gas pump cartridge attached to G7 — if a pump cartridge is not attached, pump run mode will not be available.
Turning on pump run mode through the main menu
Once the pump block test is passed successfully, G7 will enter pump run mode. G7’s main screen will invert to let you know your device is using a configuration mode.
In the case that the pump block test fails, G7 will not switch the pump run mode. G7 will return to normal mode, please check your tubing and try again.
Turning on pump run mode through the secondary menu
If the block test passes, G7 will enter pump run mode. G7’s main screen will invert to let you know your device is using a configuration mode. If the pump block test fails, G7 will return to normal mode. You can check your tubing, and try entering pump run mode again.
Pump run mode does not have a timeout period, meaning G7 will never force you back into normal mode. In order to exit pump run mode and stop your pump, you will have to manually enter a different mode, such as normal, from G7’s main or secondary menu.
