When calibrating devices, the presence of sulphur dioxide (SO2) can inhibit chlorine (CI2) responses and lead to errors in calibration.
To calibrate your sensor effectively when both SO2 and CI2 are being sampled, follow these steps:
Using a single gas calibration cap (ACC-S-CAL), calibrate the Cl2.
The burst of Cl2 after the SO2 will help purge the remaining SO2 from the Cl2 sensor and allow the device to detect gas normally.
To calibrate or bump your sensors effectively using G7 Dock, the order of gas application is Cl2 then SO2.
Once G7 is removed from Dock, manually apply a burst of Cl2. The Cl2 burst will help purge the remaining SO2 from the Cl2 sensor and allow the device to detect gas normally.
