Calibration and Bump Test Sequence for SO2 and Cl2

When calibrating devices, the presence of sulphur dioxide (SO₂) can inhibit chlorine (CI₂) responses and lead to errors in calibration.

Calibration (Single Gas Sources)

To calibrate your sensor effectively when both SO₂ and CI₂ are being sampled, follow these steps:

1. Using a single gas calibration cap (ACC-S-CAL), calibrate the Cl₂.

2. Using a single gas calibration cap (ACC-S-CAL), calibrate the SO₂.
3. Using the single gas calibration cap used in step 1, apply a burst of Cl₂ gas directly to the Cl₂ sensor for 5-10 seconds.

The burst of Cl₂ after the SO₂ will help purge the remaining SO₂ from the Cl₂ sensor and allow the device to detect gas normally.

Calibration and Bump Test (G7 Dock)

To calibrate or bump your sensors effectively using G7 Dock, the order of gas application is Cl₂ then SO₂.

Once G7 is removed from Dock, manually apply a burst of Cl₂. The Cl₂ burst will help purge the remaining SO₂ from the Cl₂ sensor and allow the device to detect gas normally.
