We are excited to announce that the EXO 8’s Gas Expansion Module is now available! EXO 8 is Blackline’s next-generation direct-to-cloud connected portable area monitoring solution. With the Gas Expansion Module, EXO 8 is the world's only area monitor capable of detecting up to eight gases and gamma radiation.

Additional Gas Expansion Module sensor combinations will become available in early 2026.
Prior to installing the gas expansion module, you will need to update EXO 8 to firmware version 4.2, which includes the framework required for the Gas Expansion Module to operate when installed in EXO 8 or EXO 8 Gamma. For more information refer to the What’s New in the October 2025 EXO 8 Update notification.
