Calling A Loner M6

Self-monitored customers may need to call a Loner M6 for many reasons. Some of these reasons include: checking if a device user is OK, or following up on an emergency alert or silent alert.
This guide is only for self-monitored customers. If you have purchased the Blackline-Monitored plan, the Blackline Safety Operations Center will monitor your devices for you.
This guide will walk you through:
- Calling a Loner M6 after the user has initiated an Emergency Alert
- Calling a Loner M6 after the user has initiated a Silent Alert

Calling a Loner M6 after an emergency alert
After the device user initiates an emergency alert, there is an open line of communication for you to call them and check if they are OK.
- Select the Alert drop down
- Select the Emergency Alert
- Select yes to acknowledge the alert
- The device's LiveResponse light will flash blue, showing the user you have acknowledged the alert. The device will continue to flash blue until you have resolved the alert.
- Call the number listed
- When prompted enter the 6 digit code
- You will then be connected to the device. The user will hear a beep when the call is connected, then you can talk back and forth freely. When the call is ended the user will hear another beep.
- When the call is over, select a reason to resolve the alert
- Select Resolve Alert

Calling a Loner M6 after a silent alert
After the device user initiates a silent, there is an open line of communication for you to call them. The difference when calling after a silent alert is the call will be a listen only call, unless you decide it is appropriate to un-mute the call.
- Select the Alert drop down
- Select the Silent Alert
- Select yes to acknowledge the alert
- The device's LiveResponse light will NOT flash blue.
- Call the number listed
- When prompted enter the 6 digit code
- You will then be connected to the device. You will be able to hear what is happening but the device will give no signal that you are listening.
- If you want to un-mute the call, enter
37#- The device's LightResponse light will begin to flash blue. The user will hear a beep, then you can talk back and forth freely. When the call is ended the user will hear another beep. The device will continue to flash blue until you have resolved the alert.
- When the call is over, select a reason to resolve the alert
- Select Resolve Alert

Calling a Loner M6 from the maps page
Initiating a call from the map page will put the device into alarm in order to open a line of communication.
- From any maps screen, select the map pin of the device user you would like to call
- In the right hand info panel, select Call this Loner device
- Select Two-way Call
- The device will go into high alarm, the user can silence the device. The device's LiveResponse light will flash blue until you have resolved the alert.
- Call the number listed
- When prompted enter the 6 digit code
- You will then be connected to the device. The user will hear a beep when the call is connected, then you can talk back and forth freely. When the call is ended the user will hear another beep.
- When the call is over, select a reason to resolve the alert
- Select Resolve Alert

Additional features available from the alert page
There are additional features available from the alerts page that pertain to calling a Loner M6.
- Alerts in the last 24 hours
- This shows all alerts the device has had in the last 24 hours, when they happened and how they were resolved
- Add a note
- This allows you to add notes when you resolve an alert. They will be shown in the history.
- History
- This shows the phone number the call came from, how long it lasted, and gives an option to download the call
