G7 EXO and Pellistor sensor compatibility

G7 EXO now supports gas cartridges with LEL‑Pellistor sensor technology. You can purchase a new EXO with LEL‑Pellistor, or you may be able to upgrade EXO with an LEL‑Pellistor cartridge depending on the unit ID. To learn more about LEL sensor technology, see our whitepaper on combustible gas.

Before upgrading EXO with an LEL‑Pellistor cartridge, it is important to first check EXO’s unit ID. Older versions of EXO are not certified for use with LEL‑Pellistor cartridges, so they must not be installed. The section below lists which unit ID numbers are certified for use with an LEL‑Pellistor.

EXO unit ID numbers certified for use with LEL-Pellistor

If EXO’s Unit ID starts with any of the following five-digit combinations, it can be used with an LEL‑Pellistor cartridge:

  • 35880xxxxx (North America)
  • 35882xxxxx (Europe and United Kingdom)
  • 35884xxxxx (Australia)

    EXO Unit ID numbers not certified for use with LEL‑Pellistor

    If EXO’s Unit ID starts with any of the following five-digit combinations, it must not be used with an LEL‑Pellistor cartridge:

    • 35881xxxxx (North America)
    • 35883xxxxx (Europe and United Kingdom)
    • 35885xxxxx (Australia)

    If EXO is not certified for use with the LEL‑Pellistor, you can use Blackline LEL-IR and LEL-MPS combustible sensors. If your application requires Pellistor technology, please contact Blackline’s Customer Care team.
