PID Sensor Configuration Update
July 14, 2025
We are making an update to the Correction Factor (CF) calculation for specific VOCs available in Blackline Live. This change optimizes the PID sensor’s accuracy when measuring for the target gas.
On July 16, 2025, devices with PID sensors will automatically receive and start using the new correction factors after they connect to Blackline Live. No action is required on your part.
It is important to note that we apply the sensor manufacturer's correction factors as a baseline. However, since local regulations and conditions can vary, Blackline Safety strongly recommends that you work with your Environmental Health and Safety team to apply the appropriate PID sensor thresholds and overall sensor configuration based on your specific operational requirements.
