Refinery/Chem Gas Expansion Modules Now Shipping

We are excited to announce that two more Gas Expansion Module sensor combinations are now available! The following module sensor combinations are now shipping:
- Refinery/Chem #1 – SO2, PID
- Refinery/Chem #4 – NH3, H2S, SO2
EXO 8 is Blackline’s next-generation direct-to-cloud connected portable area monitoring solution. With the Gas Expansion Module, EXO 8 is the world's only area monitor capable of detecting up to eight gases and gamma radiation.
Additional gas expansion module sensor combinations will become available in early 2026.
Firmware Requirements
Prior to installing the gas expansion module, you will need to update EXO 8 to firmware version 4.2, which includes the framework required for the gas expansion module to operate when installed in EXO 8 or EXO 8 Gamma. For more information refer to the What’s New in the October 2025 EXO 8 Update notification.
